England women fight back

LONDON:England's women hit back strongly to reduce India to 238 for seven on day two of their Test match at Leicester on Wednesday.

Resuming at 11 for one, India lost Monica Sumra early in the day. However, Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj steadied the ship with a fruitful partnership of 85.

The scores: England 223 in 88.2 overs vs. India 238 for seven in 113.4 overs (Jhulan Goswami 69, Mithali Raj 47). — PTI
