The scores: A-Division (two-day) league: P & T Colony 100 (Paramveer Singh four for 34) and 93 lost to SA Sports Amberpet 213 for six decl (Sai Raju 86, Vijay Goud 49). Galaxy 218 (P. Sridhar 41, P. Akshath Reddy 57, Sanketh Shah five for 84) drew with Gemini Friends 200 (Shakeel 54, K. Prithvi Reddy four for 36). Osmania 142 and 28 for no loss (Ashish five for 35) drew with Continental 255 for nine (Rajender 40, Ramachandra Reddy 69, Anoop Malpani 60). Easy for Oakridge
Oakridge scored a five-wicket win over Howard School in the Glendale Trophy inter-schools under-13 cricket tournament here. The scores: Howard (Dolphin) 92 for seven lost to Oakridge 95 for five (Ritvik 32).
Mahesh shines
A good all-round show by Mahesh (50 and five for 14) helped Don Bosco HS score a 48-run win over Vignan Prabodh HS in the ninth Independence Cup inter-school cricket tournament organised by Sports Coaching Academy here. TRR College wins
TRR Engineering College recorded an eight-wicket win over Aeronautical Institute of Technology in the third Bandari Srinivas inter-engineering colleges cricket tournament in Chevalla near here. The scores: Aeronautical IT 81 for eight (Kalyan 30) lost to TRR Engg college 82 for two; Tirumala IT 88 for seven lost to CMRIT 89 for three (Naveen 31 not out); TKRIT 104 for four lost VJIT 105 for three (Aditya 67 not out); BV Raju IT 81 for five bt Arora IT 67 (Charan three for 13).
<110>The Hindu<111> Trophy cricket
The Hindu Trophy (under-19) inter-collegiate cricket tournament will be organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association from August 20 at three different grounds in the twin cities, according to N. Shivlal Yadav, secretary of HCA. Twenty-one teams will be in the fray for the league-cum-knockout event with the final being a three-day affair.
