Bradman Cup from today

Bangalore: The second edition of KSCA's annual Fair and Lovely Menz Active Twenty20 tournament for the Bradman Cup, will commence at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday. The tournament spread over the weekend will feature six teams.

The tournament was formally launched at a function here on Thursday afternoon. Skipper Rahul Dravid, KSCA president Ramprasad, secretary Brijesh Patel and Hindustan Lever skin care division's vice-president Ashok Venkatramani graced the function.

Brijesh Patel mentioned the success of the tournament's last edition and pointed out the emergence of players like M.S. Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik and Suresh Raina. "This year too we have many promising players like T.P. Singh participating in this tournament. It is also time for the BCCI to take steps to promote Twenty20 within the domestic framework," Patel said.

The teams: A Zone: KSCA, Indian Airlines and Bradman Invitation XI. B Zone: Chemplast, Air India and ONGC.
