NMDC pays all-time high dividend

HYDERABAD:
National Mineral Development Corporation, a Government of India enterprise, has paid an all-time high dividend of 276.62 per cent amounting to Rs. 365.57 crores during the financial year ended March 31, 2006.
The corporation has paid a final dividend of 84.29 per cent (Rs. 111.40 crores) following the annual general body meeting held recently. NMDC Chairman and Managing director B. Ramesh Kumar handed over a cheque of Rs. 109.59 crores to Union Steel, Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Ram Vilas Paswan at a meeting held in New Delhi recently.
NMDC had earned a profit of Rs. 2,883.82 crores during the year on a turnover of Rs. 3,710.92 crores. .
It had paid a second interim dividend of 115.40 per cent in February 06, according to a press release.
