Sleepless in Hyderabad

Are the city MPs and legislators and former netas spending sleepless nights? It appears so with DGP Swaranjit Sen confirming that a Maoist action team is indeed doing the rounds of the city gunning for a soft target.

Some of them are said to have approached Home Minister K. Jana Reddy for protection while some are said to be mulling foreign tours. Meanwhile, after carrying out house-to-house searches, the city police have intensified checking of vehicles in their bid to zero in on the elusive Maoist action team.

Indeed, it's one search in many years that has literally put the city on tenterhooks.
