CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka, at a few places over Telangana, and Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema.

Forecast (valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over interior Karnataka and north coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Rayalaseema.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Karnataka and isolated heavy rain is also likely to occur over interior Karnataka and Kerala during next 48 hours.
