Garbage piles up in Gobichettipalayam

ERODE: Heaps of garbage have piled up in many places in Gobichettipalayam town for days together.

The municipal administration has placed dumper bins in important places.

But unfortunately the public and the municipal conservancy staff are not properly utilising them and depositing them out of the bins.

Keeripallam Odai running through the heart of the town is an asylum for pigs and a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

The Municipal administration is taking all efforts to clean the stream, but it requires huge fund, which it cannot afford.

The Municipal administration has instructed the municipal health department to clear the garbage and keep the town clean.
