Birla Sun Life Insurance's plans for Tamil Nadu
CHENNAI:
The Chennai division of Birla Sun Life Insurance (BSLI) hopes to secure Rs. 140 crore premium income with 45,000 policies during the current year, according to B. Manoj, Branch Head. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, he said the three branches in Chennai would alone account for Rs. 60 crore premium with 23,000 policies. To promote the sale of insurance products the company was planning a tie-up with a leading Tamil magazine for conducting some events, according to Winston G. P. Cunningham, Assistant Manager, Brand Development. For marketing insurance products in rural areas, the company's tie-up with NGOs was successful, he said.
