Helion Venture Partners invests in JiGrahak
BANGALORE:
Helion Venture Partners, a technology venture fund, is making an investment of $2.2 million in JiGrahak Mobility Solutions, a Bangalore-based mobile technology company, which is in the space of mobile commerce and payments. The Chief Executive Officer of JiGrahak, Sourabh Jain, told presspersons that the investment would be used to scale up JiGrahak's sales and marketing efforts in India and enhance its technology infrastructure. He said that Ashish Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh of Helion Ventures would join the board of directors at JiGrahak. He said JiGrahak's first service offering, NGPay, was a free, downloadable mobile application that allowed users to buy goods and services through their mobile phones in a quick and secure manner. Businesses could use the NGPay platform as a new `anytime, anywhere' channel to offer their products or services such as movie tickets, flowers, books, airline tickets and gifts to customers.
