KOZHIKODE: "Calicut: the City of Truth revisited" authored by historian and the former Chairman of the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) M.G.S. Narayanan and published by the University of Calicut was released by Mayor M. Bhaskaran at Taj Residency on Saturday. The book traces the evolution of the city of Kozhikode. District Collector A. Jayathilak, speaking at the function, said the book would be welcomed by all those who wanted authentic information on Kozhikode and remarked City of Truth, the title of the book, seemed to him to be an apt and sizzling slogan for marketing Kozhikode a tourist destination. Callicut University Vice-Chancellor Syed Iqbal Hasnain presided.
