DHARWAD: The Uttara Karnataka Sangolli Rayanna Yuva Sainya has opposed the selection of Sri Niranajanandpuri Swamiji as successor to Birendra Keshava Tarakanandapuri Swamiji of Kanaka Peetha at Kaginele. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Satish Dalawai, president of the sainya, alleged that leaders of Kuruba community belonging the southern parts of the State have done injustice to the community members in north Karnataka. He said the organisation welcomed the announcement made by religious head of Kuruba community Sri Basavaraj Devaru regarding setting up of an alternate religious chair at Kaginele in the name of Sri Revanasiddheshwara. He said the sainya would form taluk level units to strengthen the Uttara Karnataka Kurubara Mahasabha. It would also take up awareness regarding the injustice meted out the community members belonging to north Karnataka, he added.
