PALAKKAD: Two persons were killed and two injured when the car in which they were travelling was hit by a truck carrying iron scrap at Chithali on Saturday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Kavilmadom Krishnan, 48, of Ernakulam, and Mohanan of Kuruppumpady Chamakkal House. They died in a private hospital in Palakkad town. According to Kuzhalmannam police, Geetha, wife of Krishnan, and Susan, wife of Mohanan, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, have been admitted to a private hospital in the town.
