School teachers to stage dharna

Pondicherry: The joint struggle committee of the lecturers (Teachers in Government higher secondary schools) in Pondicherry will stage a dharna at the Directorate of Education here on Monday in support of their charter of demands. The coordinators of the Committee N. Madhavan and K. Ramu said here on Saturday that the teachers were pressing for demands including that they be given gazetted status and assured career progression facility.
