Staff Correspondent
BELLARY: U. Chandrashekar, Judicial Magistrate First Class (Junior Division), posted the private criminal defamation case filed by the suspended BJP MLC, G. Janardhan Reddy, against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Home Minister M.P. Prakash and Minister for Forests C. Chennigappa for orders on August 21. Mr. Reddy had filed the case against the three for their alleged remarks against him after he levelled the Rs. 150-crore bribery charge. Later, Mr. Reddy told presspersons that replacing Mr. Sriramulu as Minister in charge of Bellary district was another attempt to divert the attention of the people. The countdown had begun, and soon all would be exposed when he made public the evidence he had regarding his charge, he added.
