Meena Kumari emerged fastest girls in the 100m sprints in the under-18 and 20 age groups respectively in the State junior inter-district athletic championship at the IGMC Stadium here on Saturday. Prabhu slams century
Central Zone's Prabhu Kiran slammed an unbeaten 105 against South Zone in the ACA under-22 inter-zone cricket match, which ended in a draw at Nallapadu, Guntur, on Saturday. Resuming at 156 for two, Central Zone declared its second innings at 212 for two. Chasing a target of 359, South Zone made 169 for eight at close with Seshavalli scoring 50. Central Zone garnered two points by virtue of its first innings lead. The scores: Central Zone 196 and 212 for two (Prabhu Kiran 105 not out) drew with South Zone 49 and 169 for eight (Seshavalli 50, D. Acharya 30, Kiran 30 not out, Koteswara Rao three for 28).
