NEW DELHI: Delhi University has announced a model code of conduct for the upcoming Delhi University Students' Union elections. The University has imposed a ban on posters, including stickers with adhesive, hoardings and wall writing. Loudspeakers and microphones will not be allowed outside or inside the campus or colleges. Candidates will not be allowed more than two vehicles for canvassing. Sticking to the old limit for election expenditure, no candidate contesting the polls will be allowed to spend more than Rs.10,000. No outsiders will be allowed to enter the campus or colleges for electioneering. Also, no canvassing will be allowed in the hostels after 10 p.m. Any act of violation of these rules will be seen as an act of indiscipline as per Ordinance XV (b) of the University.
