NEW DELHI: An Assistant Commissioner of Police, arrested by CBI on the charge of taking bribe, was on Saturday remanded to three-day police custody by a court here. ACP Pritam Pal Singh and his alleged conduit Gurmeet Singh were remanded to police custody till August 15 after they were produced before Metropolitan Magistrate Ajay Kumar Pandey. The court allowed the remand after CBI submitted that it needed further time for questioning of the ACP about his assets. The ACP, posted in the anti-robbery cell of Delhi Police, along with Gurmeet Singh, was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from a person in G S Mall in Karol Bagh of Central Delhi. The police officialhad allegedly demanded Rs.1.5 lakh from the complainant - PTI
