Content writing, the `in thing'

Corporate companies, these days have come up with a concept `content writing' wherein the company recruits for writing on particular topics and at times on behalf of the company. All you need is good command over language and simple writing skills.

Clear, crisp and concise letters, memos can gain reputation for an individual. Companies are clear, in what they desire from their employees. Style, presentation and simplicity play a vital role here, the simpler the better. " Content writing is nothing but writing on a new practice in the industry or new innovations of the organisation," says Rajeshwari, former content writer with CNK Management in Hyderabad.

Of technical writing

Many have a conception that technical writing and content writing are one and the same, but there is a world of difference between the two professions. Technical writing is writing about the technical aspects of a product.

For instance, when a software company develops new software, as a technical writer is expected to write about the software. The way it functions, how it can be helpful for the user, merits and demerits all these include in technical writing .One is required to follow a structural way of writing and presentation.

On the contrary, content writing is writing about anything and everything, beginning from companies' performance to the latest happenings around, sky is the limit here.

Reputed companies do provide training for fresher while others expect you to hit the deck right from the word go. So, take your pen and start practicing the art of writing.
