Lenavi triumphs

Hyderabad: M/s. L. D'Silva, Ravada Vijaya Kumar and Syed Nawaz Hussain's Lenavi (A. Imran Khan up) won the Stewards Cup, the main event of the races here on Sunday. L. D'Silva trains the winner.

Fines and suspension: In the Army Cup, the stewards suspended jockey I. Chisty (Adoring Star) from riding in races with effect from 23rd Aug, 2006, upto and including 4th Sept., 2006, both days inclusive, for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to veer in sharply at about 400 metres onto Secret Silver resulting in the latter clipping his heels and stumbling in the process dislodging jockey R.B. Shinde.

Jockey Qazafi (Turbanator) was fined Rs. 2000 for shifting out while passing the 1400 metres, bumping and forcing out Silver Bullet (J. Panas).

In the P.M. Bokadawala Memorial Cup, jockey Lakshmikant (Walk In The Park) was fined Rs. 2000 for shifting in, in the last 100 metres, and in the process forcing in Irish Intellect (N. Rawal) who in turn shifted in causing interference to Proud Accolade (R.B. Shinde).
