Food Minister to hoist National flag on Independence Day

PATHANAMTHITTA: Food and Civil Supplies Minister C. Divakaran will be the chief guest at the Independence Day celebrations to be held at the District Stadium here on Tuesday forenoon.

The Minister will receive the guard of honour at the Independence Day parade by the Armed Reserve Police, National Cadets Corps and the Scouts and Guides to be held at 8 a.m. Mr. Divakaran will deliver the Independence Day message on the occasion after hoisting the National Flag.

District Collector Ashok Kumar Singh, District Superintendent of Police M.N. Jayaprakash and the people's representatives from all the Assembly and Parliament constituencies in the district will also attend the meeting.
