    Chennai: The Saint John's Educational Trust and St. John's Group of Schools will present the Rev. Dr. G. Rajakumar Memorial Tamil Nadu State Level Best Teacher Annual Awards in memory of the founder of the schools group Dr.G. Rajakumar.

    Addressing reporters on the occasion of Dr. Rajakumar's 73rd birth anniversary here on Friday, Dean of the Group R. Kishore Kumar said an exclusive working committee of the Trust drafted the eligibility criteria to select teachers for the 10 awards that carry a cash prize of Rs.10,000 each.

    The assessment will be based on four parameters - personal, pedagogical, professional and institutional.

    Three awards will go to teachers from the Tamil Nadu State Board Schools, three for Matriculation/Matriculation and Higher Secondary Schools, two for CBSE schools, one for ICSE or Anglo-Indian Schools and one from Corporation Schools.

    The eligible candidates will have to fill an application form and send it with a nomination covering letter before August 26. An interview will be held for short-listed candidates on September 2. The winners will be named on September 5.

    Structured bio-data

    The structured bio-data in the form of a booklet will be available in all offices of the St. John's Group of Schools. Applications can also be downloaded from the website www.stjohnsrajkumar.in.

    The awards will be presented in a public function during September this year.

    The short-listed candidates will be invited to Chennai for a personal interview by a panel comprising a retired Judge, a retired officer of the Education Department and a representative from St. John's Group of Schools.
