Parking arrangements

PONDICHERRY: Special parking arrangements have been made for vehicles of VIPs and the public for the Independence Day function at the Indira Gandhi stadium.

A release from the Traffic Police Department said those who do not have a car pass should park their vehicles at gate number two; those with passes should enter through gate number one on the Vambakeerapalayam Road.

Students participating in the march past should park their two-wheelers and cycles inside the premises of ITI for women on Vambakeerapalayam Road.

The release said the general public should park their four wheelers on the Uppalam exhibition ground and two-wheelers on the Petit Seminaire Primary School ground and could enter the venue through Ambedkar Salai.

The traffic police have also restricted vehicle movement on the beach road from 6 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on August 15.

Those coming to the beach should park the four wheelers at the parking slot along the Grand Canal behind the maternity hospital.
