MCL looks at new horizon of development

40th joint consultative committee meeting held

BURLA: MCL is looking for creating a new horizon by massive development of the locality with cooperation of the administration. It is interested in construction of a river bridge for shortening distance between Sambalpur and Brajrajnagar, a checkdam in the river Ib and an Integrated Water Supply System for Brajrajnagar locality provided the administration and all those concerned come forward, according to Mr. Abhiram Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of MCL.

He was addressing the 40th joint consultative committee meeting held at MCL headquarters, Burla, recently. The project proposal, its report and implementation should be taken up by the Government and the MCL would endeavor to provide the required funds. Presently such a piped water scheme for 50,000 population in 19 villages of Talcher costing Rs. 20.66 crores is under execution. For the development of the coalfields areas, effort should be taken from all corners.
