Vikramjit Singh beats Ch. Meher Chinappa Reddy

Good show by Sai

A good all-round show by Sai Phanindra (52 and five for 16) helped Secunderabad Public School score a 12-run win against Gowtham Model School to enter the semifinal of the ninth Independence Cup inter-school cricket tournament organised by Sports Coaching Academy here on Saturday.

The scores: HPS Ramanthapur 129 for seven (Nirauv 48) bt St. Paul's HS 98 (Vamsi three for 22). Secunderabad Pubilc School 149 for nine (Sai Phanindra 52) bt Gowtham Model School 137 (Jagadish 34, Sai Phanindra five for 15). Don Bosco HS 136 for four (Mahesh 76) bt HPS Begumpet 116 for nine (V.L.Sashank four for 19).

Diana cracks century

Diana David cracked an unbeaten 103 to help Hyderabad XI record a nine-wicket win against Rayalaseema XI in the J. Eshwari Bai Trophy State-level women's cricket tournament here.

The scores: Rayalaseema XI 173 for three (Mamatha 72 not out) lost to Hyderabad XI 175 for one (Diana David 103 not out). Geeta Reddy XI 71 lost to Andhra XI 72 for seven.
