RCDF goes global, sends milk and ghee to Singapore

JAIPUR: After the enormous success of its popular "Saras'' brand of milk in several States of the country, the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) is now all set to hit the global market with Singapore placing an order for the first time for a large number of tetrapacks of milk and a huge quantity of ghee.

The RCDF has sent 15,600 litres of milk and 1,380 kg of ghee to Singapore after getting the order. Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Prabhulal Saini said here over the weekend that Saras cheese and Saras rasgullas were also included in the Singapore-bound consignment for an "experimental use''.

Mr. Saini expressed the hope that the demand for Saras milk products would increase manifold on account of their good quality.

While the milk and ghee sent to Singapore were packed by the Jaipur Dairy, cheese and rasgullas were manufactured by the Bikaner unit of RCDF.
