G.V. Anand Bhushan
CHENNAI: G.V. Anand Bhushan, who graduated from the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College in 2002, has received the United States Education Foundation in India (USEFI) award of Rs.25,00,000 Fulbright Scholarship in Law. The programme is the U.S. Government's flagship programme in international educational exchange. The USEFI, along with the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board and Case Western Reserve University, has awarded Mr. Bhushan a one-year fellowship to pursue a Masters in Law at the Case School of Law, Cleveland. The Fulbright-Case Fellowship provides for a full tuition waiver, monthly stipend, medical insurance, books, computer and airfare allowance. Mr. Bhushan is the managing partner of the law firm M/s. Bhushan and Rajaram, started in 2003. At 26, he is the legal advisor for several companies in the country such as Jaya Television, FFE Minerals (U.S.), SAAG RR Infra (Malaysia), Aurofood India and Bharatmatrimony.com. He has offices in Egmore and Velachery. He is also a guest lecturer at the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. He wants to specialise in drugs and pharmaceuticals manufacturing. "Not altruism, but to make the Indian industry competitive globally, especially in manufacturing drugs," he says.
