Fire in stainless steel unit

CHENNAI:
A fire, which broke out in a private stainless steel unit in Pulianthope, in the early hours of Sunday was put out after nearly five hours.
Fire and rescue services personnel from six stations were pressed into service, and apart from fire tenders, water tankers from the Metrowater were also despatched to the spot. The cause of the fire and the loss was not known immediately. Fire services personnel said the raw materials used for manufacturing stainless steel products, kept in the multi-storeyed building was destroyed in the mishap. There was no casualty, they added.
