Vehicle donated to Akshaya Patra for distributing midday meals

BANGALORE: Motor Industries Company (MICO) Ltd., flagship of the Bosch Group in India, announced the donation of a food distribution vehicle to the Akshaya Patra Foundation, a non-profit organisation, here on Sunday.

The vehicle will be used for distributing midday meals to schoolchildren in the city.

Flagging off the vehicle, Albert Hieronimus, Managing Director, MICO, said, "We recognise the role children have to play [in nation building] in the future, by making this gesture. We hope to reiterate our commitment towards corporate social responsibility by this act." Chanchalapathi Das from Akshaya Patra, promoted by ISKCON, received the vehicle.
