BANGALORE: Irate passers-by set two buses on fire following an accident in which two persons were killed on the spot at Kaggalahalli, near Kanakapura, on Sunday. Ravi (20) and Lokesh (22) were killed when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus bound for Bangalore from Kollegal hit them. They were standing next to a motorcycle and chatting with a person when the accident occurred. As the bus driver stopped the bus some distance away and got off the vehicle, passers-by tried to assault him. When he fled the spot, the passers-by threw stones at the bus and set it on fire. They then went to the bus stand and set another bus on fire there.
Damaged
An irate group of people smashed the windshield of a police jeep before turning it over after the vehicle hit a two-wheeler near Vinayakanagar Cross on Mysore Road on Saturday. According to the police, the jeep belonged to the VVIP security wing The two-wheeler riders were injured and passers-by, who alleged that the driver was in an inebriated condition, damaged the jeep, the police said.
