NEW DELHI: As many as 15 officers and other ranks of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been awarded the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day. While four personnel have got the medal for distinguished service, 11 have been awarded the medal for meritorious service. The four officers awarded the medal for distinguished service are: Ashok Kumar, Joint Director, Chennai; T. Subhas Chandra Bose, Superintendent of Police, Chennai; Mukesh Chander Sahni, Additional SP, Delhi; and Baldev Singh Dogra, Deputy SP, Chandigarh. Those awarded the medal for meritorious service are: Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, Deputy Inspector-General, Delhi; S.S. Kapoor, DIG, CBI Academy, Ghaziabad; Amrendra Kumar Singh, DIG, Ranchi; Tanuja Srivastava, DIG, Delhi; Javed Siraj, Additional SP, Delhi; Partha Sarthi Bose and Tapan Jyoti Ghosh, both Deputy SPs, Kolkata; Ashok Kumar Velappan Nair, Deputy SP, Chennai; Madan Singh, Inspector, Dehradun; Saibal Kumar Tripathy, Inspector, Kolkata and Sant Lal Sharma, Sub-Inspector, Delhi.
