Bangalore: You want food fast because in your kind of work, there is no fixed lunch hour. But you are literally fed up with the typical "fast food" or are simply looking for healthier options.

Now, you can just log onto a website, take your pick and place orders.

Hungrybangalore.com allows you to place orders and even make online registrations for that weekend dinner for two or a business lunch at a restaurant.

The order placed is routed to the participating restaurant and food delivery or a table reservation made available at a time and place specified by you. You have the option of ordering take-out or have the food delivered at a specific time or at a restaurant table, varying with the services offered by a food joint and your own preference.

According to Neeraj Kumar, director of Nexus Inc, the company that has hosted the website, "You can order food online. Orders can be placed with the restaurants registered with us. You can browse through the restaurants listed on our home pages and make a choice. You can even see menus. The hungrybangalore.com service saves you time and ensures the accuracy of the food order with no mix-ups and the specific delivery time." There are no extra charges for ordering food online. But the food joints or restaurants will add the delivery charges. The website indicates the delivery charges based on the distance from the restaurant; some a distance limit like a 5-km radius or so. You can make advance orders for parties and bulk food requirements.

Orders are confirmed through an order code.

There are some advantages to online ordering over telephonic reservations. Often you keep getting a busy signal from the number of the restaurant or are put on hold for indeterminate periods. Here the order gets forwarded fast to the food joint with all the details. The online menu makes choices easier.
