Wage hike under job guarantee scheme
The order said a portion of the wages would be paid in the form of foodgrains (3 kg at the rate of Rs. 6.25 a kg) and the remaining Rs. 50.25 in cash to workers employed under the TERS and the entire amount in cash to workers employed under the NREGS, an official press note said. Lorries to carry only prescribed load
Federation president B. Channa Reddy welcomed the move and urged those who hire lorries not to overload them. "In case excess loading is found when checked, officials will offload the excess weight on the spot, exposing truckers to difficulties."
