People urged to strive for State's development

HYDERABAD:
Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy have greeted people on the eve of 59th Independence Day calling for efforts to build a society that `is just and harmonious.'
In a message issued here on Monday, Mr. Thakur observed that there was no dearth of resources in the State. "It is for us to utilise these abundant resources in an efficient manner," he said. He called upon people to strive to maintain unity against divisive forces.
Dr. Reddy outlined welfare schemes for all sections. He called upon people to dedicate themselves for development of Harithandra Pradesh. Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu greeted Telugus and called for sustained efforts to utilise water resources for development of the State.
