`Build office for health officials'

Priority to preventive measures in public health: Minister

KOLLAM: Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy has called upon the local self-government institutions to take steps for the construction of offices for Junior Health Inspectors at the Family Welfare Sub Centres.

She gave the call while holding discussions with the leaders of the Kerala State Health Inspectors Association (KSHIA) in Thiruvananthapuram recently.

In a statement here, KSHIA general secretary Asramam P.K. Balagopal said Ms. Sreemathy gave the assurance that top priority would be given to preventive measures in public health.

She also told the KSHIA leaders that steps would be taken to fill up all health inspector grade posts through promotions.
