`Extend TRAI Chairman's term'

NEW DELHI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Chairman, Nripendra Misra, in a letter to Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran, has sought an extension of the tenure of the chairperson and members of the authority from three years to five years as in the case of other regulators, besides seeking more powers for TRAI.
