Medical student killed in road accident

: Abirami, 20, a third-year B. Sc student in Audiology and Speech Pathology of Sri Ramachandra Medical College, was killed in a road accident at Poonamalee near MGR Engineering College on Monday.
Poonamalee Traffic Investigation officials said that around 6 p.m. the student was trying to get over to the tar road from the mud road when her vehicle slipped and Abirami fell down.
A container that was going past her on the main road ran over the girl crushing her head and she died on the spot.
The body was sent to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.
A classmate of the deceased student said that she was going to Anna Nagar with gifts for her parents for the Independence Day .
