Sathyam's `Madras Day' extravaganza

CHENNAI:
Sathyam Cinemas will celebrate `Madras Day' on August 20 with `Chennapatnam - Impressions ... Expressions ... Nagarpuram - Aham.'
Conceived and curated by Prasanna Ramasamy, the programme will start with the premiere of `Sirpigal, Where the Lord Dances & Going Going Ghana' by Arun Mozhi at 9 a.m. The screening will be followed by discussions.
A reading of Ashokamitran's `A Half century of Residence' will take place at 10 a.m. by P.C Ramakrishna.
Tara Murali, A. Srivathsan and A.R. Venkatachalapathy will speak on `This City ... Our City ... History and some dreams' at 10:15 a.m. This will be followed by discussions on The Chennai Music Season by V. Sriram at 11:00 a.m.
