APSRTC bus pass counters closed today

The APSRTC bus pass counters in the city and those in the eSeva centres will remain closed on Tuesday on the occasion of Independence Day, a press release from APSRTC said. However, the above services will remain functional from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, which is Krishna Janmashtami day.

Workshop in ASCI

Academicians, NGOs, Government and private sector representatives will attend a two-day workshop on "Issues before the National Knowledge Commission" to be held at the Administrative Staff College of India, here, on August 17 and 18.

Vice-chairman of the commission P.M. Bhargava, V.S. Ramamurthy, chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Delhi, M. Narasimham, chairman, ASCI Court of Governors, and S.K.Rao, Director-General, will address the inaugural session, according to a press release issued here on Monday.

Lepakshi to distribute flood relief material

Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation, Lepakshi, will distribute relief material worth Rs.5 lakhs to flood victims in Khammam district.

Chairman Anjan Raju, Managing Director Jayaraj and directors met Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at his camp office on Monday and said two truck loads of relief material were being sent to Khammam district for distribution to flood victims in Bhadrachalam and other areas.

The relief material comprises clothes, instant food packets and other essential items.
