Man held in dacoity case

KOCHI:
One person was arrested by North Paravoor Police on charges of dacoity. The case was that a six-member gang forcibly stopped persons travelling in a car on July 17 at Moothakunnam in Vadakkekara and took away Rs.35 lakh.
Rajesh, 28, of Puthuvype, was arrested by the team led by R. Salim, Circle Inspector, and M.K. Binukumar, sub-inspector, North Paravoor. An amount of Rs. 5 lakh was recovered from him.
The accused was presented before Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate and remanded. The police are on the look-out for rest of the team members.
