KOCHI: The academic committee of All Kerala Private College Teachers' Association has formed "shadow" board of studies to evaluate the revised undergraduate syllabus of various programmes offered by Mahatma Gandhi University. In a press release, Rajan Varughese, State secretary of the association, said that the shadow board was formed to correct anomalies regarding the syllabus for various courses offered by affiliated colleges. The subject committees formed by the association will examine the revised syllabus of B.Sc. Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Statistics and BA English Part I and II, Malayalam, and Hindi. A report prepared by various expert committees will be discussed during a seminar to be held at CMS College, Kottayam, on August 24. The report will be presented to the Mahatma Gandhi University authorities.
