Not keen on wordplay

Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran said at a function in Kannur recently that the Left Democratic Front Government was least interested in wordplay. He reminded the audience of the controversy that his speech made a few weeks ago triggered. He was referring to the row over his remarks on IAS officers.

Mr. Sudhakaran said at the function held in connection with inauguration of a coir product showroom that when a Minister in the previous United Democratic Front Government took a decision that adversely affected thousands of coir workers, no poet or writer criticised it. Mr. Sudhakaran was conveying his feelings about the critical comments of some writers on his remarks against the IAS officers.
