Army captains are role models for schoolchildren. Many a student looks at uniformed men with adulation, hoping to don the fatigues one day. However, Captain Raju, film actor, who has a military background, seeks to demystify the profession of soldier. Addressing students at Al-Ameen Public School on Independence Day, Captain Raju said it was the good will and virtues of civilians which could save the country more than the jawan who kept vigil on the borders. It was the capacity to love one another and the spirit of give and take which could safeguard the hard-won freedom of our motherland, Captain Raju told the children. He inaugurated a visual presentation on Jallianwallah Bagh and hoisted the tricolour on the school premises.
