NELLORE: The District Selection Committee (DSC-2006) will be conducted as per schedule despite the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal (APAT) quashing the common service rules for teachers. "The Government will appeal against quashing of 27/05 of the Act concerned and GO No 95 and 96 in the High Court. Therefore, it will not hamper the schedule of DSC-2006, which will be conducted on September 9, 10 and 11 across the State," School Education Minister N. Rajyalakshmi told reporters on Tuesday. "It is unfortunate that the APAT quashed the amended Act, which was drafted to do equal justice both for Panchayat Raj and Government teachers in the State. The School Education Department will, however, consult legal experts to see that both transfers as well as promotions besides the DSC-2006 schedules will not get affected in any manner," the Minister said.
