Palm oil import tariff value rolled back

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Tuesday rolled back the tariff value on palm oil products to the July 31 level of $447 a tonne. Tariff value is the average rate of the product at which customs duty is levied and is reviewed every fortnight for edible oil. The Central Board of Excise and Customs revised upwards the tariff value on August 14 but rolled back the increase to keep domestic prices under check.
