Bangalore: Unbeaten centuries by Yashpal Singh and Vasanth Saravanan helped Chemplast Sanmar defeat Baroda CA by seven wickets in a KSCA all-India invitation tournament match that concluded here on Tuesday. Chasing 336, Chemplast Sanmar replied with 342 for three in 64.2 overs. In the other matches, host KSCA XI, Hyderabad CA and Karnataka Colts defeated Orissa, NCA and Indian Airlines respectively.

At Mysore, a match-winning spell by Baroda's Ranji player and left-arm spinner Rajesh Pawar (five for 34), helped Indian Oil Corporation register a 114-run win over Dr. D.Y. Patil Sports Academy on Tuesday. The scores: At Bangalore: Baroda CA 336 in 96.4 overs lost to Chemplast Sanmar 342 for three in 64.2 overs (Yashpal Singh 107 not out, Vasanth Saravanan 101 not out). Orissa 301 in 85.4 overs lost to KSCA XI 305 for four in 65.4 overs (Robin Uthappa 85, Deepak Chougule 72, C. Raghu 47). NCA 142 in 62.3 overs lost to Hyderabad CA 216 for nine in 52 overs (including 70 penalty runs for poor over-rate by NCA). Indian Airlines 273 in 85.5 overs lost to Karnataka Colts 275 for six in 83.3 overs (M.K. Manjunath 77, V. Cheluvaraj 51). At Mysore: IOC 299 in 88.1 overs bt Dr. D.Y. Patil SA 185 in 75.4 overs (Kunal Marathe 53, Swapnil Asnodikar 40, Rajesh Pawar five for 34). Associate Banks 250 in 90.4 overs bt Assam CA 134 in 80.3 overs.
