KARIMNAGAR: An accused involved in the molestation case of a 10-year-old minor girl, who attempted suicide by slitting his throat in the toilet of Choppadandi police station on Monday, succumbed to the injury while undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital here on Tuesday. According to police sources, the accused V. Balaiah (45) was arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting a minor girl, following a complaint given by his relatives and villagers in Choppadandi mandal, who also vowed not to stand by him. Unable to bear the mental torture of isolation, the accused had slit his throat and attempted suicide. The police had shifted him to a corporate hospital where he succumbed to the injury while undergoing treatment on Tuesday morning.
