Recovery of hand grenades creates panic in Rewari

Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: There was panic in Rewari after two hand grenades were found in a vacant plot near the fields in Lohana village. Even though some television channels reported that live bombs had been found, the Deputy Commissioner of Rewari, Chander Parkash, said on Monday night that the two hand grenades were very old and HE 36 was written on their cover.

He said the two grenades, lying in the vacant plot of one Devender, were found by the villagers. They immediately informed the Khol police station. The police reached the spot and took the hand grenades in their possession.
