Naidu's visit dubbed as publicity stunt

HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has said that Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu's tour of flood-affected areas was a publicity stunt comparable to the mileage that he sought to derive as Chief Minister during floods in Orissa.

The CLP in a press release recalled that Mr. Naidu had patted himself on the back for despatching relief to Orissa in the 1998 floods.

Quoting the Orissa Governor, he had then claimed that the people of the State hero-worshipped him. Mr. Naidu's latest tour was a similar stunt.
