Wanna be a `creative' doctor?

Madurai: For those who are involved in medical profession, an opportunity beckons to test their creative skills.

The Doctors' Association for Social Equality (DASE), in connection with its second State conference and felicitation function for Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on October 7, is organising essay and poetry contests in Tamil for medical practitioners and medical students.

The topic for the essay competition for doctors is `Problems faced by doctors in public and private medical services.' For medical students, it is `Changes to be carried out in medical education.' The topic for poetry competition for medical students is `Let us protect social justice and eliminate caste system.'

Contestants have to send their works along with their photographs to G.R. Ravindranath, general secretary, DASE, 41 Chavadi Street, Pallavaram, Chennai-600 043, before September 10. All entries should carry address of the sender and telephone number.
