The seminar's objectives were to discuss the ways for registering accurate information on locations and attributes used in location-based services. Location-based services include telecom, bus routes, postal services, gas pipeline, schools, power and water supply. The need to have accurate information to create a computer-based information centre for enhancing the decision-making process of administrators and common man was the central theme of the seminar.
